Limited Edition Prints of 'Berrylicious'
 
This drawing was inspired by a songthrush I saw eating ivy berries whilst on a walk with my family on a beautiful, albeit it very chilly, day in January. It flew down just a few feet in front of me, not at all bothered by my presence and happily foraged on the fallen berries. Such a great photo opportunity and I was lucky enough to get a photo of it with one in it's beak. I just loved the colour of the berry, and I knew it would work well as a background colour and the drawing evolved from there. This piece took quite a lot of planning to find the perfect composition and I even went back to where I saw the bird to identify the berries so that I could include the correct plant in the background of the drawing. It was a really fun process.
 
The original drawing was created with coloured pencils and watercolour on hot pressed watercolour paper.. 

The drawing has been printed onto 225gsm textured fine art paper with UV encapsulated inks; making these prints lightfast and archival, lasting at least 75 years without fading or discolouring. The textured paper allows you to see every pencil mark as if you were looking at the original drawing.
 
The print is finished in a high quality white and delft blue double mount, which measures 14x11''. The image size is A4.

Limited run of 150 prints. Each print will be numbered and hand-signed by myself and will include a certificate of authenticity.
